We release indigo snakes at the farm because we have so many poisonous varieties . In 7 years we have really cut back on the retake snakes and eliminated the water moccasins

@TexChik I would literally cry if I got my hands on an indigo.

@CinnamonSpider they get pretty big . They ate the king snakes too . 30 snakes were pricey but worth it .

@TexChik eastern indigo is one of my dream snakes. Since they are endangered they are a bit pricey. And you have to get the proper permits and such.
TexChikF
@CinnamonSpider Texas indigo snakes are not endangered , but we had to buy from a breeder since native snakes are protected

I wish I had been into herping while I lived in Texas. There's a lot of cool snakes there. I'm just an overly brave dumbass and would probably be dead from trying to catch something I shouldn't 馃槀 馃槀

@CinnamonSpider they come out to the farm and take off rattlers and copperheads

@TexChik I actually want a diamondback. I'm just not sure I feel comfortable with venomous yet. I've never been tagged by anything so I think my over confidence would get me hurt.

@CinnamonSpider I鈥檝e been popped on my snake boots a few times . The wild hogs are so thick at the farm and they locate the snakes when they rattle and eat them . The snakes are starting not to rattle much
