Thank you for your prayers and best wishes

I like to thank everyone who prayed for my dad in the last two or three days. The doctor told me that he had pneumonia so that was pretty serious and still is. I'm trying to help him as much as possible whilst also nursing my own overall snottiness. Whenever someone thinks that it's better to isolate oneself from the world outside, well, that's not the case. Especially when one gets older and dear friends have already gone ahead. Family and friends are there for a purpose. I was listening to TCM's podcast on John Ford this week and noticed the story of John Wayne nursing him when he got wounded after the Battle of Midway. It was only to give Ford's daughter a restpite but it helped enormously. My dad is an old warrior and can be a pain in the neck too at times. Thank you for your prayers for him from me 🙂

I'm really sorry to hear this Val. My prayers are definitely with you and your father. You're so right about shutting yourself off from people. That's easy to do and for so many reasons but in the end, we all do need each other and that's what we're here for, to help each other. I pray he improves each day and also that you feel better each day. Much love, Grace

Sorry to hear about your dad’s illness, hope that it’s not contagious. I’m sending a prayer that it heals up well.
If I understood it right, you’re ill yourself? I wish you a speedy recovery.
