Prayer for rain. Do you need rain? Talk to the maker of the rain. 🙂He wants us to call on him.
Father God, I come to you in the most precious name of your son, Jesus Christ. The name that is above every other name and the only one salvation may be obtained. Luke tells us in Acts 4:12, "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved". Paul told us in Philippians 2:10-11, that at his name every knee shall bow to and every knee shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.
“That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”
The name of the one who holds all power in his hands in heaven and earth. He is almighty, has all power, knows all things and is present everywhere. The Omnipotent, Omniscient & Omnipresent ONE! The one who said, “cast all your cares on me for I care for you”. And you said said through King David, in
Psalm 50:15
And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.
John also tell us in 1 John 5:14-15, “And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:
And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.”So Lord, I come before you today and publicly confess we need you. Many don’t realize just how much we need you. You hold our very souls in your hand…You give all that we have, and give us power to obtain wealth according to your word. Your word tells us according to Paul the apostle,
In Acts 17:28
28 For in HIM we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.
You also tell us in Revelation 1:18, “I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.”
Lord, many are suffering drought badly as I speak and going through a heat wave. But Lord as you already know cause nothing is hidden from you and nothing takes you by surprise, we need rain so desperately where I live, and I’m sure many present here today need it as well. According to your great mercy and compassion, please send us rain, and I’ll be ever so careful to give you praise and honor for hearing and answering prayer. You told us to call unto you when in trouble…and once again I ask you humbly and the only way I know how, to please give us rain and cool the earth. Allow our flowers to bloom once again and most importantly help the farmers…I pray all this in your holy name and I know that you hear me when I pray. You’ve proved yourself to me, time and time again. I praise and thank you… cause you are worthy to be praised! Amen.
