The point is valid in a very broad sense. The argument must be made indoctrinating children with progressive thinking(a secular religion) is abuse.
Exposing children to diverse thought and modal values, opposing points of views, then allowing then to make their own choices when they come of age would be ideal.
This woukd require courage on the part of the religious or secular parent.
Extremisn either way is bad, I would agree
