I Think Indoctrinating Children With Religion Is Child Abuse

A christian claims to be a "trained scientist" and a "qualified theologian" yet repeatedly demonstrates a profound ignorance of both subjects. When asked to present evidence for his "god hypothesis" he can only respond with childish insults. He claims he is right because anyone who doesn't agree with him is an idiot. :)

Now, having run out of even childish insults and unable to answer valid points rationally, he's reduced to deleting opponents' replies. I suppose such childish behaviour is only to be expected from a senile old man.

Organised religious groups of every denomination, creed or culture, are self serving money grabbers. Their sole aim in indoctrinating kids is to keep their religion going. Trying to ensure that their ideology does not die out.
To do that they will lie and scheme, mainly using mental frighteners, to keep members allegiance to their particular doctrine.
In doing this they encourage the development of religious fundamentalists to push for their particular religions recognition, and self promotion.
Because of their dangerous practices of ramming their ideology down young peoples throats, they create monsters, who are responsible for the vast majority of armed conflict, causing deaths and misery, on our planet.☹
This is icky.

@KayraJordyn I am not quite sure what you consider is 'icky', but the truth is often unpalatable, if you don't like it?
I am acutely aware that lumping an entire faith, the most prominent faith on the globe, together, into the trash bin of beings who so obviously "knowingly, intentionally, intent on money-grubbing, indoctrinating, lying, scheming, being dangerous self-promoters, and people who cause death and misery" is icky. Not even almost accurate.

Cults have this effect, often.

Not every faith runs like a cult. Some even promote love and hope. Healing.

Weird, huh?

I don't know what you're so angry about, but I hope you find out and feel relief soon. @uknaked

With faith and hope,

@KayraJordyn You have my sympathy for having been brainwashed into your "faith", I was not referring to any one organised religious grouping, I was referring to every organised religious group on earth.
I am not angry, I am realistic. The vast majority of deadly conflicts, in the world we live in, are a result of conflicts of religious indoctrination. My complaint is about the complete lack of activity, by religious leaders, to correct and stop creating this religious conflict.
They should be teaching the fact that we all share one planet, and the religions are of a similar base, and doing what they can to stop religious fundamentalism, instead they stand by and make platitudes of little effect.
I am fully aware that for millions of believers, religious belief helps them in their lives, but my complaint is about the religious leaders who are more interested in protecting their empires and doctrines, than protecting innocent people.
I trust that this makes my position clearer.
