The new Archbishop of Canterbury

Giles Coren can’t help but “cringe” when he sees the Archbishop of Canterbury Dame Sarah Mullally, who has been confirmed today, “go on and on” about “the love that we find in Jesus Christ” despite going to church himself. Personally, I must say that I agree with him and the description of his fears here are really what I fear too. The evangelical Anglicans have now clearly a champion whilst the catholic Anglicans will be staying wanting for her whole tenure because she looks and sounds very much as someone who does the talk only

Not a word from what I've seen about the Gospel, not suprising considering she is Biblically unqualified to be a vicar.

I guess because she's a Dame she thinks she can usurp God's Word.

@BritishFailedAesthetic Have you actually heard her preach. Of met her?

Far better than Welby, caught up with flogger Smythe. Or Carey with his cover up of Bishop Ball.

New Frontiers worries me. Who are their leaders, the so called apostles. Do they have prophecies outside the Bible, why?

I’ll continue to pray for Sarah and the work she does.

I agree with you that if the preaching is Bible based. and there is prayer, you cannot go wrong.

@BritishFailedAesthetic I agree. It's not about the form but the substance. Like if the Book of Common Prayer should taken as just a prayer book. There are plenty of examples of this particular modernism. Put it in simplier ways and you'll sound both more popular and inclusive. On Archbishop Mullally herself, what's her first apparent crusade then? Archbishop of Canterbury Dame Sarah Mullally will speak out on misogyny. Isn't that a perfect example of the poverty of thinking and spirituality? Personally, I do hope that she will have the humility to sort some bridge-mending out first
@val70 Errrrr... how about the saving power of the crucifixion of Christ and it's power to save sinners??????????

@BritishFailedAesthetic Yes, the centre our faith. Pure Grace.

@BritishFailedAesthetic Grace comes from above
@val70 Grace comes from the Gospel and being saved from God's wrath!

@BritishFailedAesthetic You think that the Gospel is then from this realm?
@val70 You and your mystical parables!
