On a cold Christmas Adam (Adam before Eve)
Our adopted grand daughter (according to her dad who says he is our adopted son) was asked to play the piano for a small country church's Christmas concert. We drove her out there and were struck by the simple beauty of the old fashioned church. The wooden pews in neat evenly spaced rows. The piano could barely be heard above the tumultuous singing in the packed church but the 14 year old pianist did a fantastic job. After a wonderful meal was served, we carefully drove back to the city down snow covered country lanes. Taking care not to run into the ditch as it was 10 below. The parents couldn't drive their daughter that night because their other two daughters were singing in the Ukrainian Church across town. The family came from Ukraine about 4 years ago and are a huge part of our community. So grateful for them and the immigration process that brought them to our town.
