Trying different church

It's actually a cathedral as where I live I'm now close to it. I had a resident pass to visit whenever and a couple of weeks ago I went in after work. Sung evensong started and I sat at the back. It was so beautiful. So far from the church I grew up in and have worshipped at all my life.

But suddenly I had just this lovely feeling of peace. I went again on Tuesday and it felt similar. I might make attending that a regular thing.

a resident pass to visit whenever
What's that for? Do you mean you would have had to pay otherwise? Every church I have visited in the UK is free for those entering to attend a service, even those that otherwise charge admission such as Canterbury Cathedral.

@ninalanyon it is Canterbury. Visiting for services is always free but to visit I have the residents pass so don't pay even if just looking around.
