I was confirmed at the Cathedral in Palermo when I was ten.

I think it is becoming a family tradition as my Nonna was confirmed when she was ten as was my mother, and two of my aunts. Chiara was also ten when she was confirmed. We have a very Catholic family tradition and although none of us are perfect Catholics, we do believe in the sacraments of the Church, and we go to reconciliation (confession) every week when we are here in Rome.
