Shouldn't this have been kept quiet?

The church ladies announced that they are going to have a special table set aside for migrants at the community meal. Why did they need to announce this??! Seems like it will put them at peril and make anyone working at the meal at legal risk. I have no problem feeding anyone that's hungry but keep your mouth shut otherwise.
