Was Church Mandatory for you Growing Up?

I had to go because it involved a free meal at Sizzler’s after.. my grandparents treat every Sunday. Now that they don’t take us to Sizzlers anymore I guess I’m going to Hell..

I wasn't allowed to go across the street to Sunday School. I went once and was scolded for it and was told never to give my allowance away to church. So I started reading the Bible that was on a book shelf. God spoke to my heart in the Bible.

I wanted to challenge him one day if he was real or not. I asked him to move a penny on my dresser. I woke up the next morning and it was still there, and then I felt so ashamed that I required God to move a penny for me to prove himself when he had made the whole universe. I realized that he doesn't have to prove himself because he already did.

I fell on my knees and cried and begged God for forgiveness for being so arrogant, doubtful and prideful. God saved me right there and I will never forget it. He showed me his Holiness and my sinfulness he revealed the truth.

That day I dedicated to go anywhere he called me to go for the gospel. A few years after that my dad applied to a hospital as a professor, researcher, and doctor in California and we moved. I didn't realize that it was my prayers that set the ball in motion for our family to move and me to learn English and for me to be on a mission here.
