Nicholas Soames is a British politician who also happens to be the grandson of Winston Churchill.
As a young boy, Soames knew little about his grandfather's fame and stature and he recounted the time he walked into Sir Winston's bedroom and asked him about it:
"Is it true, grandpapa, that you are the greatest man in the world?"
"Yes, I am," Mr. Churchill replied. "Now bugger off."
@SW-User Yes, he and 21 other MPs were kicked out of the Conservative Party for not siding with BoJo (BlowJo?) on Brexit. Soames announced afterward that he wouldn't be running for office in the next election.
@Rutterman Thank you for reminding me of my Steely man....as you might remember, I absolutely adore Churchill coz he has influenced my childhood and school years as a leader and persistent optimist. 🙌
