I Used to Belong to a Cult-like Church

When I was a child that is. Now, I love God and all of his teachings but after my experience with a cult like church that spoke nothing but hate and of hell. I knew my God, the lord I know that is loving to his children and wants peace not wars because someone is slightly different, was not there. It honestly did leave a sour taste in my mouth about churches. Every time I pass one I roll my eyes and laugh. My God can't be found in the mouths of other men but only in my heart and world around me. Maybe I will find a good church one day and go back to loving them, maybe or maybe not. I am just saying, if you hate your church and think "This is not how I see God!" then that's okay because sometimes evil people use a powerful name to make THEM powerful. Find your God, your way because he is always calling out to you calling you. 😇
