I Am An Athiest And Religion Does Not Bother Me
I have no interest in any religion or any god whatsoever and personally think it's man made superstition from the dark ages. Hundreds or even thousands of years ago many things were considered sacred or holy. Even the sun and moon were worshipped as gods, then there were those that heard the voice of their god telling them what to do, I think it's called Schizophrenia these days. If you weren't a believer and criticised the beliefs you were considered either possessed or a witch and very slowly burned alive or drowned or had hours of torture to confess your blasphemy. I'm glad we don't live in those dark scary ignorant days, no wonder folk took to religion and became believers, the alternatives were unbelievably bad for your health.
However, I do have a friend who is very religious and believes in a god, but I do not think any less of him as a friend. We accept our friendship and rarely speak about his or my beliefs simply respecting each others ideals which is why we are very good friends.
A belief is nothing material and as such so very difficult to prove or disprove, so don't let your or any other's beliefs be a problem. Live and let live.
