Female Archbishop of Canterbury

Dame Sarah Mullally has been named as the first female Archbishop of Canterbury and therefore first female leader of the Church of England.

I was discussing this with my daughter earlier. She was questioning me whether I'd move my attendance to CoE church now. I said I did not think so.

She then said. Isn't it incredible to be alive now when things like this area happening for us.

She's right.

Concerning the monarch, we mention him and his family in our State Prayers.
And when we worship using the 1662 Holy Communion Service.

It would worry me not if the Church of England was disestablished now. We gather as Christian to worship God, and draw on each others support. The monarch plays no part in this.

Sarah has a very difficult job to do, please hold her in your prayers, and thank God for her appointment.
