The Christian faith says that no one passes the good versus bad test because we are all sinners. Salvation only comes through God’s plan and he sent his son our Lord Jesus Christ to be that savior.
So no being a good and loving person will not get you saved. That’s a personal opinion, but it is not an informed one. The Bible will tell you otherwise.

@SW-User Agreed. True and genuine "good works" are a by-product of Faith. Faith itself is a gift. If we trust in our "decision" for Jesus then in effect we trust our works. The causal basis of salvation is Grace - pure and simple, the love of God that "knows no why".
The fruits of genuine Faith are (as found in the NT) love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control - and such are in evidence throughout history in human beings of ALL the world's faith traditions - (and of course, in dogs....)
