Church is also a congregation of people. I don't physically go to church, but I'll listen to sermons and Bible study online or just study on my own. Either way, I'm not alone but with the Holy Spirit to guide me through these lessons as well. Then, unintentionally, there are times when I'm ministering other people when I go about my day.

@RedGrizzly Remember 1 Timothy 2:11-15 (ERV) =
"11 A woman should learn while listening quietly and being completely willing to obey. 12 I don’t allow a woman to teach a man or tell him what to do. She must listen quietly, 13 because Adam was made first. Eve was made later. 14 Also, Adam was not the one who was tricked.[a] It was the woman who was tricked and became a sinner. 15 But women will be saved in their work of having children. They will be saved if they continue to live in faith, love, and holiness with sensible behavior."

@Diotrephes Timothy wrote that letter to a church that was run by women. The problem wasn't because they were women, but they were using scripture to berate and nag (be overbearing) to the men. One could say they were sexist towards men. That's the purpose of that scripture, and Timothy describes the situation in the very first few scriptures in the book/letter.
Timothy wrote that response because it would have been better if the women running the church to shut up, instead of disgracing God using Him to justify being unjust towards men. That's like being an equivalent to a false prophet.
So, the irony is, it looks like a sexist statement against all women but it wasn't because men of that church were being drug through the mud, so to speak.

@Diotrephes Now, to be honest with you, Timothy wrote that letter. Not Jesus. But I understand he was telling them off, because they weren't in the right by how they treated men. Although he could've worded his response differently. Yeah, Eve sinned first but so did Adam. Both were equally tempted, so I can debate that with Timothy. But I won't touch on the other stuff because of the culture. The roles of women in that time are different than now, so it may be that he's saying, "you're better off doing what all women do right now than to be preaching lies." So, gotta read between the lines and come with the understanding of context.

@RedGrizzly The fact that you don't know who wrote 1 & 2 Timothy illustrates why women are supposed to be quiet.

@Diotrephes well, if there's anything I appreciate from this comment is the reminder that Paul wrote the letters to Timothy. My bad, I'm human. I make mistakes as anyone else, but it doesn't negate meaning of the scripture.

@RedGrizzly That's one of the benefits of the forum. We increase our knowledge by interacting with others. Once you fully understand what the real Ten Commandments are, then the stories in the Old & New Testaments will make more sense.
Are Paul's various rules comparable to the fake ones the God character spewed in the Old Testament?
Ezekiel 20:25 (NKJV) = “Therefore I also gave them up to statutes that were not good, and judgments by which they could not live;"
