Are Cultists Honest?

I used to wonder if cult leaders really believed their BS or were pretending to scam. I think it's both. People's cognitive dissonance can get pretty intense.

I find most people who go out to preach their beliefs are actually genuine believers in what they preach.. 2 weeks ago 2 JW's knocked on my door and i had a half hour conversation with them.. Not the first time i have talked with JW's and probably will not be the last.. The one who did the most talking was clearly genuine and the woman that was with him mostly took a back seat because i think she was pretty new to this stuff..

Anyway i gave him the good old question of who raised the LORD Jesus from the dead and threw a spanner into his doctrinal works.. Maybe a seed was planted, i hope so..
