Does anybody still follow their religion of origin?
Does anybody follow the religion they were raised in? I'm asking the question because I noticed most Jews Catholics and Muslims follow the religion they were raised in. But most evangelicals jettison the beliefs when the opportunity comes up.
I grew up in IFB Church. (That's Independent Fundamental Baptist for all of you infidels. 😝) in high school I started messing around with wicca. Then I had no religious preference going into the Air Force. (They even stamped that on my dog tags.) I found religion in a Pentecostal church. Then I went back to being baptist. Southern Baptist, not IFB. Then nothing. Then Roman Catholic.
Right now I would consider myself non- practicing Catholic, with some Buddhist, Mythopoetic, and Gnostic ideas. Far from the religion of my origin.
