I've just realized that I've been doing it all wrong for so long!!!!

Isaiah 65:11–12:

But you who forsake the Lord,
who forget my holy mountain,
who set a table for Fortune
and fill cups of mixed wine for Destiny,
I will destine you to the sword,
and all of you shall bow down to the slaughter

I've heard Christians say that gambling like playing the lottery and such was wrong, but I didn't care as to what people had to say until I hear it from the Lord Himself, and now I have.....And I don't know what to do, I do but yet I don't....It's a stronghold within me, a pleasure of playing the lottery and what if dreams......But if God Himself says no it's wrong as it clearly says in that scripture, I have to repent, or at least continue to follow the spirit of life to which allows me to do what is life giving. Lord I am yours.

Question: Do you guys think that this means that I shouldn't enter free contests too???

I am not particularly fond of gambling. It uses money that can be better used elsewhere. People have gambling addictions that cause untold problems. Casinos, online betting, and lotteries are not there, because they are losing money due to giving it to winners. It is a multi-billion dollar industry.

With that said entering free online contests costs you nothing, but your time and your email address. Feel free to do it unless you feel convicted not to.

Side story....years ago my son was in Little League. He was given raffle tickets to sell. He sold a few to neighbors, but not much else. I paid for the rest, which was 20 dollars, because it helped his team. I ended up winning the 1st prize, which was 500 dollars. We needed gas money to pay for a vacation to see family, and it covered that expense. I believe it was a provision from the Lord, not because i bought raffle tickets, but because He provided the means to go.

I can't say what you should do, pray for wisdom! I personally don't gamble more than a couple dollars a year, and then I feel guilty so its not worth it!
