How does the Muslim view of the Qur’an as the complete and final revelation of God to humanity relate to the Christian view of the New Testament?

Muslims see the Quran as the final word of the Abrahamic God, superceding all other words. Christians claim that it is not so! Much like the differing views of the Old Testament between those of the Jewish Faith and Christians i.e New Testament superceding the Old.

At another level, as I understand it, the Muslim sees the Living Word as the actual text of the Quran, as revealed by Mohammed, while the Christian sees the Living Word as Jesus Christ, as revealed by the New Testament.

The implications of this can be reflected upon by anyone interested.
