Religion keeps one’s mind in a puerile state, which causes anxiety.

Predicting an eternal hell in which laws of nature do not work. This keeps the mind immature and causes anxiety.
The human body is supposed to grow old, mature, then death is not so bad.
And fire burns something, that thing disappears.
That is the natural order and it keeps the mind sane.

I do seem to argue with a lot of religious believers who think like little kids, I always thought it was strange. Just on any subject I'll notice first that they're very religious and then they are anti vaxxers, anti gay etc. etc. I'll try to logic or reason with them about various subjects but debating them is like trying to debate like... maybe a 13 year old child I guess?

I did think it was strange. Just the logic and the mindset being very childish in such a way that it's legit harder to argue with them because of it.

Like you know how children reason and talk? That's sort of like what it feels like. When children just all of a sudden make up things on the spot but they're being quite silly and can say some silly stuff. With kids, you usually just say something silly back but with adults who are like that, it's more serious.
