Islam is evil. If you reduce islam to its most basic form you get the Taliban or ISIS. If you reduce Christianity to its most basic form you get a mennonite or a hutterite.
@hippyjoe1955 Hiltler was one of the most cruel humans, was he muslim?
Wasn't even a human, but a monster!
hippyjoe1955 · 70-79, M
@MuslimBarbie He had lots of muslim allies if that is what you mean. He wasn't Christian we know that. So not sure why Hitler was even brought up. Stalin was an atheist and he killed more people than Hitler. Mao was and atheist as well and he killed more people than Stalin. None of which addresses the evils in islam which go all the way back to the founder - mohammed who was a very evil man. BTW I don't try to emulate Hitler or Stalin or Mao or mohammed.

This is the No True Scotsman fallacy.

I think Nick Fuentes said it best.

@BohemianBabe You seem to miss the point that Hitler was not brought up by me. I never brought him up. What we do know is that Hitler was not a Christian. Christianity is a belief system not a religion. Hitler much preferred the ancient Norse/Germanic gods. He based much of his philosophy on Neitzche. You remember his don't you? He was famous for saying "God is dead". But you carry on with your silliness. You are off topic. We are discussing islam not nazi.
hippyjoe1955 · 70-79, M
@ElwoodBlues So you think Hitler was not a Nazi or what is your point here?
@hippyjoe1955 Well of course you wouldn't bring up Hitler, because that disproves your point. There have been plenty of evil people throughout history of all religions.

Hitler wasn't a Pagan. There were some Nazis who believed in the Norse gods, such as Heinrich Himmler, but Hitler was a Christian as were most Nazis.
Yes, he did like some of Nietzsche's philosophy, but he disliked Atheism. Nietzsche's works were edited by the Nazi government and his original books were banned, so that people were only able to read the parts that the Nazis approved of.

If you're going to say Islam is evil because people have done evil things in its name, then by your own logic, all religions are evil.
hippyjoe1955 · 70-79, M
@BohemianBabe Hitler was a nazi. I am talking about Islam. Please stay on topic. If you want to discuss the evils of nazism then start a new thread and we will discuss it.
@hippyjoe1955 He was also a Christian.
So if Islam is evil because of the Taliban, then Christianity is evil because of the Nazis.

@BohemianBabe So my friend who grew up in Iran and attended mosque regularly as a child and then converted to Christianity as an adult and was forced to flee Iran for apostasy is still a muslim? Curious how your little brain works.
@hippyjoe1955 Hitler never converted out of Christianity. He died considering himself a Christian.
hippyjoe1955 · 70-79, M
@BohemianBabe How do you know? Serious question. Hitler used all kind of words to worm his way into the German's hearts. My friend who served in the German army (against his will I might add) said that it was known in Christian circles in Germany in 1934 that Hitler was not a Christian. Your nonsense remains nonsense.
@hippyjoe1955 So first of all, you're definitely lying.
Secondly, let's say you're right. Let's say the top Nazis were just pretending to be Christians in order to gain support. What does that tell you? Millions of Christians supported Nazism just because they believed that the Nazis were the same religion as them. This is an even bigger indictment of Christianity.
hippyjoe1955 · 70-79, M
@BohemianBabe Son if going to church as a child makes you a Christian then every atheist on this site is a Christian or muslim or.... because in your view they 'didn't convert out of it'. As we Christians often say, "If going to church makes you a Christian then going to a butcher shop makes you a roast beef". What you wrote doesn't even make sense.
@hippyjoe1955 It's not just that he didn't convert out of it. He considered himself a Christian and there's no evidence he suddenly changed his mind towards the end of his life.

If the Nazis were lying about being Christians, explain why this worked. Why did millions of Christians support Nazism?
Do you think Putin is lying too? If so, why are millions of Christians supporting his rule?
hippyjoe1955 · 70-79, M
@BohemianBabe I really don't care what Hitler supposedly thought of himself. As Jesus said "By their fruits they will be known". And in another place many will come to Jesus on that day and tell Him of all the things they did for Jesus and Jesus will say "Away from me you evil doers I never knew you".
@hippyjoe1955 According to my research, Hither defined himself as a Christian in Mein Kampf. He also espoused a branch of Christianity called "positive Christianity." Just because you don't like Hitler doesn't give you the right to redefine his own self definition.
hippyjoe1955 · 70-79, M
@ElwoodBlues Do you have an etch a sketch graph to prove your research? Too funny son. Sometimes you are a source of never ending chuckles. Keep up the good work.
@hippyjoe1955
I really don't care what Hitler supposedly thought of himself
I see, so an outsider can set the definitions. Excellent! You are not a Christian. You lie far too much.
You repeatedly violate the commandment
Thou Shalt Not Bear False Witness
No true Christian would do that, so stop calling yourself a Christian!
hippyjoe1955 · 70-79, M
@ElwoodBlues By their fruits they will be known. As Jesus said not everyone who comes to me saying Lord Lord is a Christian or will be saved. Only those who do the will of the Father. As for me I have enough recognition from both Christians and non Christians and even some muslims that I am indeed a Christian. I went to a sales meeting one time and the guy running the meeting looked at me and said "You're a Christian aren't you". I was a bit nonplussed because I had done nothing to indicate that I was a Christian. The host then continued on "I don't like Christians". A number of years later I ran into the same man. He asked me if I remember him telling me that he didn't like Christians. I told him that I did remember that meeting. He then turned to me and said that he doesn't hate Christians anymore because he is now a Christian.
@hippyjoe1955 But you understand the double standards here, right?
You say you're a Christian, even though you don't follow the religion, but you're saying the Nazis weren't really Christians, because they supposedly didn't follow the religion.
hippyjoe1955 · 70-79, M
@BohemianBabe There is no double standard. If you are trying to follow islam you are a muslim. If you are trying to follow Christ you are a Christian. If you claim to be a muslim and are acting according to the teachings and practices of mohammed you are a muslim. If you claim to be a Christian and are acting in accordance to the teaching and practices of Jesus and have received the Holy Spirit as you have repented of your sins then you are a Christian. Saying you are muslim and eating bacon or wiping your butt with your right hand or failing to recite your prayers makes you a liar. If you claim to be following Jesus and dipping into the occult and stealing from your friends and killing your people you are not being honest with yourself or God.
@hippyjoe1955 Well by that logic, nobody is part of any religion, since nobody actually follows their own religion.
To me, as a Utilitarian, I say religion is about self-identity.
hippyjoe1955 · 70-79, M
@BohemianBabe Only in your fevered little mind son. Only to you. Hitler was a socialist nazi which is the antithesis of what a Christian is.
