Muslims in Pakistan have told 300 impoverished villagers they must either produce a Christian accused of blasphemy, leave the area, convert to Islam or be killed

@Budwick Dont judge a religion by it followers!
Paladin · 61-69, M
@MuslimBarbie But religions are comprised of their followers. It's hard to separate the two.
But I see all organized religions as nothing more than a way to control the masses.

@Paladin Judge a religion by its rules, scripture and teachings.
Because men and followers can go astray.
That might be hard, but try looking at both separatly.
All religions arent a way to control masses but to organize and discipline them.

It seems that Islam in Pakistan wants to organize and discipline the fuck out of Christians there.

That sounds like control to me, individually or as a mass. Just my opinion @MuslimBarbie

@MuslimBarbie I have to disagree with your comment here.
Yes, organized religion is all about control...organize and discipline them is just another way of saying control them.
And of course a religion is to be judged by those who adhere to that religion, unless the religious leaders comes out and condemns the bad actions of it's followers.

@Budwick well maybe because they are in minority,
Thats not just happening in Pakistan but all around the world
Minorities are treated harshly.
Which is absolutely wrong, I agree!

@Repete I respect ur opinion
Its not control to me, religion is discipline.

@Paladin Well not exactly, u see the religion for urself, and u try ur best to follow its teachings, and ask others to do the same.
And if something wrong is done by its followers, doesn't mean the religion is bad, the person's action was bad, and yes u are right religious leaders should condemn it,
But even if no one condemns it God is all-seeing.

@MuslimBarbie We'll just have to agree that we see organized religion is differently.
But understand, for religion to be successful, those being controlled must not be able to see that they are being controlled.
