@Unlearn dear Typer everything we do, we are commanded to do, js common sense and we all are encouraged to think rationally and this is all pure common sense!

@MuslimBarbie you don't know your own religion. I have several muslim friends who have told me that critical thinking isn't allowed in Islam. One has to blindly believe in whatever is written. So many people have been killed in the name of blasphemy...

First of all always keep in mind dont judge a religion by its followers.
Ur Muslim friends might be average muslims, and i respect the fact that they are ur friends.
However they are humans and can be wrong, this prohibition is no where to be seen in hadith's or Quran
Infact the companionsof Muhammed saw were rational thinkers and asked a lot if questions, prophet Muhammed liked it and answered them properly, this shows something doesn't it?

@MuslimBarbie how come most inventions are made by scientists who are infidels. How can someone who doesn't follow your religion be bestowed with the intelligence to invent, create and discover new ideas and technologies...how could it be allowed!?

Well that's a good question and i would like to answer it.
Muslims already know that this life, this world is short so they dont really work that hard, dont get me wrong they do work but not as the non believes do, bcz as according to a saying, This world is a trap for believing men and paradise for non-believers.
Allah gives intelligence to non believers so they understand and observe the signs of Allah.
See there is a profound verse which answers ur question.

See today many scientists are discovering new things and happenings in the universe, and there is solo much mystery within us and our bodies....
This versee...is amazing!
