My discussions with non Muslims

Usually when I have discussions with non Muslims about Islam it’s never academic as it’s almost never about the teachings of the scripture or religion.
It’s always country A or person B.
When Muslims are 2 billion different people
And Muslim majority countries vary economically socially linguistically culturally historically etc..
especially taking into consideration that throughout history some of the “best “ and “advanced “ nations and kingdoms were ruled by Muslims . So “Islam “ making a country backward or less advanced proven by history to be untrue.
🌿
Last but not least, I leave a verse from the Quran i like :

The prosperity / advancement of a land can change with the blink of an eye
It’s always what’s in the heart.
Hence I don’t really care when a non Muslim shouts how bad the situation is in country A or country B
Oh and top of that leaving other normal advanced Muslim countries

I admire Islam but even your own scholars see validity in how Islam doesn’t allow room for change . It has stifled many societies.
Any golden age ended with the introduction of Islam .
MBS has been admitting it for half a decade while not admitting it .
I believe there will be another Islamic revolution , again in Iran. It will be a reformation . It will happen in 2-4 years .
@AthrillatheHunt
it is nice of you that that you started your comment /opinion with a nice thing to say.

Anyways
Which scholar ?
What school ?
Because there are many and Muslims differed.

Islam has never stifled any society
It is the rulers that decide to do that or not
Hence Muslim nation’s throughout history and even today differed socially economically etc..

Prophet Mohammed himself said that the best Muslims are those closer to his time
So technically the golden age of Islam etc is a better representation of Islam

MBS didn’t say anything of that sort
If anything he helped Make religious opportunities, expand the holy mosque , and introduced technology into the religious field.

The only thing MBS cleared is that Islam is innocent of terrorists and extremism and that he will “return” Islam to how it was in the past
Not the kind of Islam terrorists introduced to Saudi Arabia in the 1970s
Which some call the “sahwa “

@Islamreligion in many Islamic countries the heads of the religion are the de facto rulers of the governments . Irans Mullahs is a great example .
MBS is transforming his society , against the wishes of many religious leaders .
UAE switched to a Monday to Friday workweek , against the wishes of some religious leaders .
Islam is to be admired . I often say “beware man’s interpretation of the word of our Creator.”
My people are from Albania and were ruled by the ottoman Turks for centuries . My family name is an Arabic word by the way .
@AthrillatheHunt

Prophet Mohammed never said you can’t work Friday
Just during Friday prayer
There wasn’t even the concept of weekend back then
So I don’t see a problem with uae making it monday to Friday if it’s better for their economy
Just like Saudi shifted it from Thursday-Friday to Saturday -Sunday

Actually the majority support MBS
Only the brainwashed ppl from the effect of the movement in 1970
Do not
My mom back in Saudi Arabia in her young age she did not wear hijab or Abaya
It was not a thing to enforce it , it was a choice which is the real Islam.

But with the extreme movement that suddenly entered saudi , they made it obligatory
But for many years now it has become a choice once again
Lol so is MBS now going against islam or returning real Islam?
See it’s confusing circules judging Islam by how country A or B functions

@Islamreligion Islam is far from a monolith indeed .
