@Islamreligion Here's my favorite verse from the Quran (5:32) "Because of that We ordained for the Children of Israel that if anyone killed a person not in retaliation of murder, or (and) to spread mischief in the land – it would be as if he killed all mankind, and if anyone saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of all mankind."
@helenS Thank you for sharing ! Are you by any chance Muslim? If not , then I’m really admiring your knowledge! You know what I like more about this verse? it’s connected to the verses before it, the story of Adams sons. One of them killed the other right? So God is saying killing one soul is like killing the entire humanity Because when Adams son killed his brother he also killed his brothers entire race and potential children and the children of his children etc… He killed an entire potential line of humans. This verse is not saying that killing one soul is like the “sin” of killing all humanity But as heinous as killing all humanity ! I really love this verse due to its depth and connection to the story before it ❤️ Thank you for reminding me about the beauty of this verse !
