Pentecostals and charismatics are NOT Christians. They are a bunch of devil possessed, lying, money grubbing, satanic freaks and psychos

Who con and prey on the weak, gullible and vulnerable with their fake tongues and fake healing and lying signs and wonders. I pray that these wicked heretics "churches" get burned to the ground. Don't ever falsely associate Christianity with this cult, people.

@SW-User Thank you for your reply. You're very knowledgeable about the Bible. Did you attend Bible college and seminary? So what are your thoughts about tithing in the book of Malachi? Do you believe it is for today? I'm just curious.

@DemureDeb Absolutely! I did not attend Bible college and seminary. I just spend a lot of my time studying God's Word very extensively. Sometimes I do read commentary and I do listen to a lot of sermons. Bible colleges are often very liberal and will make you come out even more confused than when you went in. They don't just read God's Word and accept it. They twist it and prefer to trust scholars and philosophy over what the Bible actually says. I wouldn't recommend any Christian going there. It's unnecessary. The Holy spirit works through us to interpret when reading God's Word. And when I am struggling with anything, I will watch a sermon to gain deeper insight. Great question! Well, a 10% tithe is not Biblical and let me explain why: In Malachi 3:8-10, it shows you that tithing and offerings was the old testament method of giving under the mosaic law, addressed specifically to the Nation of Israel. The tithe was the tenth that the Jew owed the Lord (see Leviticus 27:30). Tithing is a big thing all around with Christians. The preachers will lay verse 10 on their congregations: "Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse" trying to say this is meaning the Local Church, when it is not. These Pastors are not rightly dividing the Word of Truth and comparing scripture with scripture. They are not dispensational, which is a major problem. LOOK what it says in the following verse in 10, "That there may be MEAT in thy house." Do you tithe with meat when the offering plate is passed? The Jews were commanded to tithe cattle, sheep, and goats (Lev 27:32); that was meat "on the hoof." They were to pass those beats under a rod and count out one, two, three, four, five, etc; and the tenth belonged to God (Lev 27:32-33). They were to tithe what they grew in their fields and gardens (Lev 27:30; Deut 14:22); they even tithed their herbs and spices (Matt 23:23).The purpose of that was to feed the Levites who served in the priesthood (Num 18:26-31). The tithes were brought to the temple and stored in chambers called the treasure house" (Neh 10:38) or the treasuries. The chambers stored the excess until the priests needed it (2 chronicles 32:5-11). That is NOT the case in the New Testament. "The collection" is taken up at the local assemblies "for the saints" (1 corinth 16:1), not the priests. You are not under law; you are under grace. There is no hard and fast rule for giving. Read the principles laid down by Paul in 2 Corinth 8:6-7). SO, IN THE NEW TESTAMENT, THE AMOUNT YOU GIVE IS LEFT UP TO YOU; IT IS VOLUNTARY.
