of course, not to believe in god is absurd.

god is a human construct, made in the image of man, reflecting the societies and civilisations that worshiped her/him. and so there are many gods and goddesses, all possessing remarkably human characteristics and all truly fabulous.

do i believe in the Abrahamic version of this construct? well, i can see the evidence for its construction, so yes. but as an all powerful cloud dwelling creator and supreme arbiter, no, i do not.

@Yulianna True, I don't believe in the supernatural miracle aspect of an all knowing deity but I do believe in in the spirit and that there's a perfect form of humanity and that Jesus symbolized it and that the only way for nirvana (enlightenment) is do become as he was.

@Lostpoet that's fine, but do not exclude the Buddha, i think you would find a study of the two enlightening.

@Yulianna I think they are both the same path but from different times and backgrounds. A lot of the teachings of Buddha are the teachings of Christ. Just like aspects of math half been found and lost over and over again they continue to get found because they are true.

@Lostpoet yes, if you can understand - and i don't mean intellectually - the relationship of Buddha nature and Christ consciousness, you will be close to achieving what you want.

@Lostpoet it is the separation that brings them together.
