the books of the new testament were written down a couple of generations after Jesus's life. lot was changed in the retelling from person to person and faulty memories over time changing stuff. originally the disciples thought they saw Jesus in the crowds after his death but did not talk to the person that looked like him. that changed to meeting with him and working miracles when he rose up from the dead. hard to tell how much of the other stories in the new testaments were changed like that too. then the early church changed it to make him appear more powerful. the only thing that is certain is he lived a life at that time. but there is no certainty that he did many miracles and is hard to tell how much of what he actually said if any is written down in the gospels. like the story of his rising out of his grave with the heavy stone rolling away. early Christians hide in underground tunnels and rooms with a rolling rock that secured the entrance. and coming out of the tunnel to the world above was like coming out of the grave back to life so they used that as an allegory of Jesus returned to live just like the early Christians came out of the tunnels rolling that rock away to return to the surface word. there were a lot of coast-to-coast am shows on Jesus and one show talked about the rolling rock as a symbol and why that was in the gospels. churches at that time believed a person was more powerful if he was born from a virgin so that's why the story of his mom being a virgin when pregnant with jesus. 😺
