Religion does offer some value [I Respect Religion]

I don't believe in the existence of spirit, God or heaven. Still, I admire the optimism the religious embody in terms of eternal life. I just think they got the explanation for it totally wrong. I also like all the wonderful charitable work they do. They're mostly good people, and I have no hatred of them. It bothers me that many atheists fixate on ridiculing them and demanding proof.

religion does do some good even if people want to keep ridiculing people who are religious. it has turned a lot of peoples lives around, and helped out a lot of people who have had severe depression by focusing on other things than their own lives. i dont like people who harass people who believe in religion and dont like the hyper religious who attack people for not believing what they believe. both sides are the extremes.
