I Am Fascinated By Science, Religion, and Philosophy

Science is done by the human species, and not by robots nor by penguins.

@CharlieZ I respect science too and you and your opinion my dear friend ,,I have lots of none believer friends ,I respect where they stand ,most respect me for mine

The ones not using it to attempt to prove my Father is not real I have the utmost respect for ,,but there are a lot of scientific "Break through's ,that now being reexamined ,can't be reproduced ,asking the question ,were the original results real at all ,,no one was able to confirm or deny ,,only its not happening now ,,like cancer cures ,,thats a big one ..

It was science that took samples of my daughters spine and compared it to previous samples ,,and said "this is impossible ,,its as if she grew a new spine "

There is a movie based on a best selling book called the case for Christ ,,
its about an atheist and the extremes he went through to prove to his wife her new found faith was BS ,,
a woman saved their Child ,and she told them she should not have even been there except Christ altered her normal routine ,so she was there to save the child causing his wife to reconsider her stance "God is not real "
The Medical proof ,the Historical proof and the physical evidence ,,blew him away ,,when scientist who were not trying to prove God didn't exist proved why so many are mislead ,they are so sure they can prove away God with science ,,
But in my case ,,science proved ,,someone beyond mans scope of things gave my daughter a new spine ,,she was 12 when she was healed ,,march she turned 38 ,still walking
Doctors ask me every 3 months ,,every 3 months ,,how do you walk ,,what other meds or supplements do you take you should be crippled ,,,they have MRIs for the last 7 yrs and my spine is getting worse ,,but yet I have a full range of motion ,,even better then the 35 yr old testing me
So I give a lot of credit to science ,,if it is not used to try to blot my Father and His awesome work and mercy on we fools away

Do you know the scientific community?
I do, closely. They are my colleagues.

The scientific community don´t debate the existence of God.
I not their bussines at least as scientists.

Some of them are atheist but you´ll not find a lot that talk about it, when and while doing Science.
Some of them, really a few, will debate FROM being atheists. But when they do it, they are doing it as any other human being with opinions and NOT as Scientists.

On the other hand, a lot if not the mayority of Scientists have their own religious faiths.
But you´ll not find a lot that talk about it, when and while doing Science.

What both, religious as atheists Scientists will together do AS SCIENTISTS is to reject ANY injerence from ANY philosophic position or authority (so if religious or not) to make the scientific worldview deppend on something alien to Science itself.

And they, both, religious as atheists Scientists, are RIGHT about this.

Science is a secular entreprise.
It is related to describe the material natural Universe.
No more and no less.
And, since about four centuries, they are doing THIS quite better tan ANY other way of thinking.
As Carl Sagan worded it: "Science is a candle in the dark"

Do you have to deny(as one example) the facts of Evolution to be a Christian? Then you have a conflict.
NOT with atheism.
You are clashing with Science.

Religious Scientists take Evolution (and Science) as seriously as atheists Scientists.

So, my friend, a dear one.
I´m NOT atheist.
And I DO scientific research myself since young.
And I take my faith seriously.
And take Science, includding Evolution, seriously.

@CharlieZ one of the best ones was proven not to be as scientist have taught ,,and its how fossils are formed ..
Something trapped the whole ones quick ,,not over a period of time ,,when a site was found and they dig straight down ,,the heaver bones are deeper ,,the lighter matter closer to the surface ,,but in tact ones ,,they were sealed quickly ,,
When they found what they believe to be Sodom ,,bodies standing in place ,trees not pushed over but standing in place ,,the city now found under Jerusalem
It is good we have scientist there too ,,to say ,this proves the Bible account ,,Like the book ,,Genesis , History or fable ,,now scientist are agreeing ,,its pretty accurate
but with shifting that has separated the continents ,it has made it harder to locate sites because they have moved ,,but they are being found ,,
So I appreciate science ,,a drug made on the ISS gave my Mom 5 more years of life ,,my Dad was on the team that helped put men on the moon which lead to sky lab and now the ISS
I see the value ...so hurry up Charlie and come up with the shot that regrows my spine ..
God healed me too ,,but I did not give Him the glory
now He keeps me humble ,,I do what He says I can do now
and it won't be to glorify me

I´m not debating Biblical history.
I´m not debating the existence of God.
I´m not debating faith.

What I say is that any "common sense" philosophy account or reassoning (like the given about fossils), compared with the serious evidence available, is NOT scientific.
I´m not an atheist, but I am a Scientist.
So, in the description of the natural world, I take Science as the better inference and explanation.
And SAME does hundreds of thousands of scientists that also have religious faiths.
When religión goes outside it´s purpose and clash with Science trying to replace it by authority, then it´s wrong and pseudoscience.
AND THIS is NOT remotely needed to have faith.
