I Love My Wife and She Is My Best Friend

Today feels awkward. My confidence at work, a personal strength, is under attack. Instead of focusing on my responsibilities and my success, my mind wanders to the energy and advantages of younger coaches.

Everyone respects what I do, but is it time to retire? Is it someone else’s turn? I can’t wait to walk through the front door and draw into my arms, the one who knows my weaknesses as well as she knows my strength. The one who won’t try to lift me up, but will listen and speak truth; ask the tough questions; and love me unconditionally.

It’s taken a lifetime to get where you are now . Your knowledge and experience and accomplishments out weigh youthful exuberance . Having your priorities in line and a wonderful wife at home that’s happy to see you is the brass ring ! You’ve already won . Relax and enjoy it and focus on what you know is important to be successful as a coach ... 😉👍🏻
