Unfortunately, girl friends are also sentient beings that tend to come with their own problems and drama. So while you may want someone to pat you on the head as you cry, "pity me pity me", she may be just as likely to slap the shit out of you and tell you what a lazy no good for nothing piece of shit you are (depending on her mood).
