Yes unfortunately

Yes it happened to me recently. I had to change my way of thinking. It made me really see that everything that he does is for us and that I was seeing through eyes filled with emotions rather than looking at the big picture of what he was trying to do.

When you truly feel love for someone, that SHOULD make you try to understand them, even when they hurt you. But once the reality becomes clear, that if they loved you as you do them, they would never consider doing something to hurt you, the ability to choose to move on becomes much easier.
There are different levels of hurt.
Forgetting your birthday may hurt you...but that can be resolved.
Hurt that involves you losing the ability to trust them...that's serious
If they say they love you but do things they know will hurt you...break the chain and move forward

Don't try to fix someone. Love someone who loves you back.

Hurting someone is not part of a loving relationship, and if you hurt, don't try to understand or make excuses. Move on.

Love can be hard when it is not returned.
For too long ..
Yes. It doesn’t pay very well.

Cruelty can only be understood by evil
@WoWgirll Some truth in that .. there was a time I naively believed some people don't really understand what they are doing and the impact on others .. wised up after awhile

Think there can be situations where it can be worked through if there is a fixable thing driving their actions .. but likely rare if they couldnt manage to communicate like an adult about it in the first place

That is when it is required.
