I’ve had funnel cakes a couple of times. Liked them but they are basically just dough fried in reused grease and topped with powdered sugar. The novelty wore off after the second time.
I would say that if that was a truly "random" grocery store out of millions of them, and that both you and the funnel cake showed up there at the same time, you should ask what are the odds of that? "Destiny" fits in the same sentence with you two. Your stars are aligned, so go for it.
