Birthday Wishes
birthday wishes to a special lady,
my special lady for many, many years
and though we are on the down and out
doesn't mean that I forgot how special you've been to me
I know I've let you down
more times than not
and I know you've cried hard tears for me
I'm not proud of those times, no I am not
cause all I ever wanted was to love you
and have you love me back
which you most certainly did and still do
cause that's the most special thing that I love about you
your love never wavers or fails to meet the challenges
even when I display like a real jerk
you are still there waiting
with open arms for me to return
I know I missed your birthday
and I was thinking 'bout that just yesterday
and I thought about that time we had our anniversary celebration
with sparking cider and some sweet treats
well if you haven't noticed, maybe you've forgot
