I Need Dating Advice

I need advice. A family friend has a son 2 years older than me and he asked my dad if we can go out. My dad agreed but I do not want to go but if I refuse it might make things awkward.
What do I do?

I don't know your culture so I don't know what the social ramifications would be of your refusal. I'm assuming that if you were a Westerner your father would've [i]asked[/i] you, rather than just agreeing without your input. I'm truly sorry.
