I Need Some Relationship Advice

Ok so I broke up with my ex about 4 months ago. Things ended on a good note and he has been making a real effort (the kind I wanted before) to show me how much he means. There's feelings that are stirring back up and I am a little nervous. We were together for a long time and I want to be with him but I don't want to put myself out there waiting for the next step again.

Please help!

@Burnley123 I can say 100% I believe there has been a change. I have felt a shift in attitude. He has made lists of things to talk about that he didn't want to before. The "looking to the future" part is really the biggest change.
