Consider that it's a marathon, not a sprint. It's not supposed to be easy and rarely ever is. Just because you can't see the finish line right now doesn't mean that it isn't there. Ever step brings you closer and puts more of the journey behind you. Take one day at a time, expect ups and downs and expect setbacks. Rationalise your emotional impulse thoughts, avoid rose tinted spectacle thinking. Things don't work out for a number of different reasons but there are always reasons. It was never perfect. Also, consider that toxic relationships are often the most potent and compelling. Just because you miss someone to the ends of the earth doesn't mean that they were ever good for you, or you for them.

Keep busy. Rest when you can but when you're rested then try to fill your time. There is a window for outright grieving but then you have to drag yourself up and out. Healing is a decision as much as a process.

I was with a woman for 15 years. My life revolved around her, I had never lived by myself before I met her, and I didn't even know who I was without her. You've just gotta realize that there's valid reasons that the relationship doesn't work, and accept that it's over. Then stop looking at old pictures, don't text her, don't follow her social media etc. you need time away from her to slowly recover. Avoid self-destructive behavior, and take care of yourself. You will feel normal again eventually.

Maybe the heroin is why she left. Who can blame her if it was? Were you a user when dating her?

@carpediem both of us were using.. her not as much but yeah. it might be the reason why
I'm sorry you're in pain
With time and distractions it will diminish ...you won't always feel this way and that's the good part
