I'm naked with a few freinds
So this year I have the goal of being more open and honest with friends about me being a nudist. 2 close female friends are good with me being nude around them. 1st one started last year after inviting her to an ecstatic dance and warned her it was clothing optional but I thought it would be fun. She came out and it was a blast, I was the only one naked but I'm totally cool with that, it's about freedom of expression whether someone wants to dress up or dress down. From there we decided we both like the outdoors so we go camping once a month. First time we camped I asked her if it was cool if I got more comfortable and she said she didn't mind. Since then I always hang out naked while she remains clothed. It feels so normal and natural.
I decided to take the plunge with another friend yesterday. When I got to her house and after saying our hellos, I talked about how cold it was today and that yesterday was so nice and felt really good to go hiking naked (I had already told her I was a nudist and attended those ecstatic dances nude and she seemed interested in my experience). She talked about how she's heard other people who enjoy going skyclad while hiking and that she would be too embarrassed. Then it felt like the right time so I asked her how she felt about nudity between friends. She said she wouldn't be comfortable with her being nude but if I wanted to, that she's all about freedom of expression. But she did give a caveat that would it be okay for her to speak up if it didn't feel right for her which I said of course!
Then I got naked while she giggled, she warned me she might, and I held up my arms and said let's go ahead and get this out of the way and twirled for her so she could get over the initial awkwardness. Then we sat and talked. I asked her later how she felt and she said it actually became quite normal, she noticed she still looked me in the eyes as we talked and that she is comfortable with me being naked.
So now I have two friends I can regularly be myself around. I'm going to ask another friend next time we hang out. What I've found is that with supportive friends, they won't judge you, they can say yes or no but it's no big deal as you respect their decision. Nothing will ever happen if you don't ask so taking the plunge is key and living life more authentically!
