I Have No Problem With Interacial Relationships

With all the racial division in America how do couples in interracial relationships handle it?  The guy I'm seeing totally avoids conversation about race and he acts as if there's nothing going on. If we're watching television something comes on about racism he'll switch channels. Its getting to a point where I'm thinking do I really want to take this further. And I'm not sure how to bring the conversation up because obviously he doesn't want to talk about it.  Other than that he's a great guy.

I am a mother of 2 young black men one's a sophomore in college and one is in the Air Force . His son is Caucasian and there's no way he can understand how I'm feeling right now. I just don't want him to shrug it off like there's nothing wrong. ☹ I really don't know what to do.

racial division?

?!

here in the states?

where i live there's much mixture and most of us are mixed race.

i guess you're talking those red states.

? i'm a mestizo and many of my friends are many diff. races.

?

not sure, oh sometimes we get out of towners who get all upset when they see the natives in the region.

like this past xmas again, many folks from other states were all like "what the hell are you?" and i'd just say to myself.. 'guess they're not from around here, boy are they white!'

it's kinda a joke. but you can really tell those who've not set foot in multicultural cities, towns.

it will soon penetrate their faculties, i mean we only have soo much room.
and here in the states we've been mixing it up with the 'native americans', 'blacks' and spanish-latino.... and other's who've been migrating here for the last 200 and some odd years plus.

and then some.

many wealthier countries have.. due to the ability to receive cultures and sustain them where they make their home the 'new country' whatever it may be and then plant their roots and mingle with the other cultures and settle down.

hmm, queenofquirks is right, i do answer in paragraphs. eh!
