@redredred When you divorce there is nothing legal to do. You just revert back to your maiden name if you adopted your husband's in the first place.

@KiwiBird Not necessarily. I think read once that Barbra Streisand got stopped by a cop and was yelling at the cop, who didn't immediately recognize her, because her license said "Barbara Gould," from a marriage that ended decades earlier.

@graphite She should have had her name changed on her licence. But there is nothing legally she has to do to revert back to her maiden name. Obviously you may have to change some documents if you were using your husband's name as an alias.
