Okay this question might be little personal..

In my country ..I would rarely see any one over the age of 35 single ..take 40 either their partner would be dead or they would be married ..but here in sw I see so many men and women single over age of 50 -55? How come ?

because the values are different from your country. Divorce rates are very high and divorce is expensive. Women are becoming more and more independent and invested in themselves. It becomes more normal to not need to be in a relationship for your self identity. why is it people feel they need to get married in your country? I'm curious? is it religious or monetary?

@DeluxedEdition actually both ..its like marriage is compulsory..and parents permission to the marriage is compulsory..the society,family interferes a lot in the marriage of two individuals ..although things are rapidly changing by more women becoming financially independent .
