By that time you've tried the 'relationship' thing.
You've tried the 'having a family' thing.
You've tried the 'single happy to mingle' thing.
At 70 you know it all, have seen it all and everybody in your life is old enough to take care of themselves.
You'd have a lifetime to save for your marriage rather than get in debt when you're young. And if it doesn't work out, chances are Alzheimers will erase the memory of it .

With parental consent in Massachusetts, girls as young as 12 and boys as young as 14 can get married with parental consent. With parental consent in New Hampshire, girls can get married at 13 and boys at 14. Married couples in all states can engage in sexual relations with one another, even if they are barely old enough to cook mac and cheese on their own. In most states, it is okay to have sex earlier than it is to get married without parental consent at the age of 16. However, there are exceptions.
New Hampshire — 13 with someone no more than three years older.
Ohio — 13 as long as the partner is 13 – 18.
Tennessee — 13 – 17 year olds can have sex with people up to four years older.
