I think her reasoning was she didn't want chaperoned dates anymore, and had some idea that married just for the reason of sex was a good idea.

After talking to my brother who knew more about my sister's problems. Apparently, she married a non-gypsy who told her that hand fed my sister lies about it being the 'typical' gypsy thing and get married young. Which is a far cry from Romani culture -_-
