I Am Unhappy In My Marriage

My husband blames my lack of religious belief for our marital issues. Constantly reminds me when fight that he should have married a better "Mormon"

That just sounds like a smokescreen. What is really going on with you as a couple, as people? That's the issue. If you were "a better Mormon", I suspect you two would still have the same issues, so don't sweat that one. Best wishes.

Can't he marry another and have 2

@TexChik: your right, even in your state

@bhatjc: hey watch it ! Of course I'm right .., polygamy is not allowed in the US
bhatjc · 46-50, M
@TexChik: I know that. In all of the states of the union. I had a great great grand father go to prison for that.

Perhaps he needs to apply some of the principles of his religion like kindness and consideration

And respect
I do not think much of the Mormon's Church's theology --but I do think a great deal of Mormons and the family values of the Church. I suggest you contact an elder or whoever is the appropriate person (I am not conversant in the terminology) in the hierarchy and they will provide counseling and some guidance to your husband --who I know is not acting like a good Mormon!

talk to the bishop or the relief society present

There's no such thing as a "good Mormon" they are all controlling assholes 😎 and the women are to be there slaves.

First rule of fight club: any time you say "all", it's automatically untrue. Duh.
TessParker · 31-35, F
Thanks for that, made my day
specialED1256 · 56-60, M
That sums that up
specialED1256 · 56-60, M
@TessParker: I was married once before and when I finally gave up my life got way better

@specialED1256: he's informed me all men are cheating pigs and no one will treat me better (he does bring me home food sometimes) so I guess he thinks he deserves a metal

Cheating can be fun but risky@TessParker:

what a jerk.

does that mean the Job was a bad person because of the horrible things that happened to him?
Longlegs2014 · 61-69, M
@Tess, What was he expecting? Unhappy sounds to be an understatement. Sure as heck seems like there are some large elephants in the room; and being "Mormon" isn't one of them (especially since he wasn't when you married).

What does he do besides play video games from breakfast to bed time? He doesn't sound like he is treating you right. What was it about him that attracted you to marry him? There must have been something.
sighmeupforthat · 46-50, M
woah, he's a sociopath.

i'd sue him for divorce..
That is beyond mean.
TessParker · 31-35, F
Especially since he wasn't Mormon when we married
@TessParker: Sounds like someone is fishing for excuses for the problems in your marriage and is also looking to hurt you. All very mean and honestly childish behavior.
bhatjc · 46-50, M
That idiot. He is not a better mormon. He should love you for who you are
