I love my husband but it's really hard limiting myself to one intimate male friend.

its a wonderful thing when you find the right person and people are wanting to stay commitment. society is getting fucked up with people who just want to mess around or cheat or just dont want commitment. families dont behave like families. people become less family oriented and society pays for it. people who only live with one parent dont do so well or arent as well behaved if they dont have two functioning parents.

My thoughts are that marriage and a relationship are two very different things. In the eyes of the law marriage is a business contract. Nothing more and nothing less. And it's the one contract that most people enter in to without having protection. They don't seem to consider that the person you divorce is not the person you marry.
Anyone who gets married without a prenup is foolish. Especially considering that marriages with prenups last longer.

Unnecessary, but nice for some (who really want to- it means something special to them) and practical for others (legal shit). Too many seem too quick to get married, though, in my view.

And many seem to think you *must* get married to be monogamous with someone forever/indefinitely.

I like the idea of someone choosing to be with me each day.
Not bound or obligated.
Not under contract.

Free will

26 years and still going. Marriage is great. It is work. It has joys and pains. But if I had my life to start over again, I would still choose marriage.
SweetMae · 70-79, F
I believe that marriage can be a wonderful blessing. People mess it up.
cheesyAF · 31-35, M
I definitely want to get married one day. The problem is no woman would ever marry me.

Necessary but hard.
Ratatouillesque · 26-30, F
Necessary?🤔
@Ratatouillesque: I think marriage is a good building block for families.

Not the biggest fan...I view it as just a piece of paper. You don't need to be legally bound to have that relationship with someone. There are legal benefits tho, such as being able to visit them in the ICU and tax deductions.

@Ratatouillesque: I'm just fine with either polygamy or polyandry, but I feel that monogamy is doomed to failure.
