Relationships are not just about getting to know each other by sharing every aspect of living life with each other in the immediate ahead of your taking vows (certainly in Catholic marriages and betrothals), but it is a personal choice. Your priest will try to inspire you to wait (if you haven’t done the opposite already). It can get very intense!
The main problem is that people expect all aspects of human relationships in order to get to know each other and they are thinking predominantly of the physical relationship and not so much of your spiritual relationships as two souls joined together in holy matrimony.
It is very difficult especially when you have not kept your virginity and your faith has brought you back to your Church from wayward times.
