Would you marry for love or for practical reasons if you can only pick one?

Would you marry for love or for practical reasons if you can only pick one or the other not both?

I would have loved to have married for both love and practicality, but I married because I accidentally got pregnant(thats why I hate IUDs) . So i guess I can say I got married for love because I was seeing him because i loved him and still do.

Its coming up on my two year wedding anniversery in November and my parents asked if we are doing anything to celebrate. So my dad thinks you should only marry for love if you cant have both, he said he married for love. My mom thinks you should marry for practical reasons because she said she married my dad for practical reasons mainly he was a good provider.

I am hoping that marring for love is the right thing to do, honestly I didnt have many options when I was single I was only asked out by one guy in my whole life. I was the one to ask my husband out so it wasnt him. I was never interested in the guy who asked me out I gave it a shot went on a few dates to see if I would have feelings for him but I did not.
I hope that the toughest times in our marriage come early we have been though a lot together. But I often feel bad for thinking what would it have been like if I was with someone else. I would not leave my marriage because I know that obviously it would not be good I would just be single. But I guess im thinking these things because I dont know how to solve my marriage issues. We cave only been to couples counseling a few times and its because we cant afford it the insurance never covers it. But i feel i really need it.

I married for practical reasons, I wanted a good provider and someone who would be a good dad to our future children because my mum always said that when poverty comes in the window, love goes out the door. I did grow to very much love him eventually though and we had a great marriage.

Both times I married, it was for love. Both ended tragically, so I don't think I would marry again.

I think it is better to marry for love but only when both parties love and want each other.
I always felt my wife married me for practical reasons and although we have been together for 44 years it's not been a great marriage

I'm a rebel for a reason. And marriage is not for Rebels.

I would have fought society itself to not be forced into marriage. Marriage exists to control.

If you love someone, marriage really isn't necessary. Nor should marriage be forced for any reason.

Love I’d hate spending everyday with someone that just doesn’t float my boat.
Plus I’ve worked my ass of to make myself self sufficient and if I did break up with the girlfriend I’d still be ok and have a place to live etc.
